Krewe name: Krewe of Saint Florian
Krewe of Saint Florian about:
The Krewe is composed of active and retired bay area firefighters. Currently, there are 15 different fire departments represented by our members. Our Flames (wives/girlfriends) also walk with us. Membership is currently at 95 members.
We are a non-profit organization established exclusively for charitable purpose under IRS code 501(c)3. We organized to benefit worthwhile local charities and families. Our mission is to provide a positive image of firefighters and serve the community.
Charities we have partnered with include the Tampa Firefighters Museum, Paralized Veterans of America (Gulf Coast Chapter) and My Warrior's Place. In just the past 3 years, we have donated over $10,000 to these organizations. The Krewe has also donated to local food pantries and provided labor to assist local charities. We are extremely proud of our charitable contributions.
We are currently working on a donation to AFIRE of Pasco County. They operate a day training program for developmentally disabled adults. We hope to have this completed by the end of February. Our Krewe was established in 1999.
Our costume is a turn of the century dress firefighter outfit including red or white dress shirt with gold buttons, dark blue pants, dark blue suspenders, dark blue belt and firefighter helmet. Our Flames wear firefighter themed kilts with corsets.
