Description of costumes and float(s)
Costumes are Celtic mid 17th century. Our Krewe costume should be elegant, simple and true to the historical era. Costumes should consist of a blouse and skirt which reflect elegance, simplicity and good taste. Please refrain from pirate, peasant or gypsy type attire as these are the costumes of other Krewes, and we want to have our own unique style.
A Tartan Plaid must be incorporated into the costume that can only be purchased by Members.
Men’s costume: consist of a bloused type shirt in white or off-white; brown or black 17th. century interlock pants with elastic waist which can have cord ankle ties; hats are optional but must be era correct with no pirate appearance; black or brown boots; and a cape, short or long, without or with hood for cold weather days.
